About the Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is a volunteer group of concerned citizens that have a common goal to direct the Land Use of the North Shore, in a direction that best serves the environment, the communities, the residents, and the property owners. This is done through open forum public meetings, committee meetings, surveys, personal phone calls, electronic and US mail, and one-on-one discussions.

The Committee is facilitated by Brian Ross, the Project Manager from Biko Associates. Biko was hired by the Duluth/North Shore Sanitary District and Lake County to develop a Land Use Plan, that will be presented to the local governmental units for consideration in the development of their zoning ordinances.
